I'm reading articles about Delta Force: Hawk Ops and it being the rival for games such as Battlefield franchise and Escape From Tarkov. I guess I should try it as I'm a fan of both games. 🙂 It sounds interesting as they are not quite equal in terms of gameplay. But It indeed seems that Delta Force has several different game modes included: 1. Campaign, which seems to be pretty much a new version of the Delta Force Black Hawk Down from 2003 2. Hazard Operation, which is the extract shooter mode featuring NPCs and actual rival players in teams of three (Tarkov) 3. Will this one be the Battlefield killer? I have to say it's looking really good, and even though many people are excited about the extraction mode, I have to say I'm more interested in seeing how the Conquest mode performs instead. Super cool to see many great looking games popping up lately! 🤗
There's a new F2P "Battlefield" coming up soon. It's called Delta Force: Hawk Ops and it will include at least 2 game modes: 1) An extraction mode (like Escape from Tarkov) and a conquest mode (that feels like Battlefield) Imo It looks really good and seems to have all the key features that makes Battlefield great. Gunplay seems solid, graphics are great, there is a class system, weapon modifications, destruction and lots of other stuff. I'm really impressed! Jackfrags made a great youtube video about it (actually he made multiple ones, but I'll link this one here)
The new Delta Force: Hawk Ops looks pretty decent! It's apparently free-to-play and it will be released early 2025, early access probably later this year. I remember the old-school Delta Force games when I was a kid, but I didn't play them back then. It might have a shot at actually competing with Battlefield franchise. Especially as their previous game was a bit of a flop at release. I probably will give it a shot, but I don't really like the idea of having different operators. I prefer the simpler roles of medic, support, sniper, engineer with different loadouts and that's it. I will probably give it a go! Just curious and afraid about what will be their monetization strategy. Is it cosmetics or pure pay-to-win?
