About

The Golden Order has been broken. Rise, Tarnished, and be guided by grace to brandish the power of the Elden Ring and become an Elden Lord in the Lands Between. In the Lands Between ruled by Queen Marika the Eternal, the Elden Ring, the source of the Erdtree, has been shattered. Marika's offspring, demigods all, claimed the shards of the Elden Ring known as the Great Runes, and the mad taint of their newfound strength triggered a war: The Shattering. A war that meant abandonment by the Greater Will. And now the guidance of grace will be brought to the Tarnished who were spurned by the grace of gold and exiled from the Lands Between. Ye dead who yet live, your grace long lost, follow the path to the Lands Between beyond the foggy sea to stand before the Elden Ring.

Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree – A Journey Back to Legacy Dungeons? 🌳 I’ve been diving into Elden Ring's latest DLC, Shadow of the Erdtree, and it’s been quite the ride! After watching countless Twitch streams and YouTube videos about the game, I realized how much of a dense, dungeon-heavy experience it looks like, such as FromSoftware's older titles. ⚔️ Shadow of the Erdtree seems to offer a refreshing change! 🍉 The interconnected legacy dungeons bring back that classic, layered design I fell in love with in original Dark Souls. Instead of spending hours wandering through vast, empty fields, It looks like now it's more about exploring intricate fortresses, caves, and spooky forests. It's like each dungeon is a new adventure, packed with challenges and surprises. 🎁 But here’s the thing – while I love Elden Ring's open-world design, it can be a bit overwhelming. Often, a massive map and endless items might leave you relying on guides to find a way forward. I saw other players on Twitch struggling with the same thing, and it made me think which is better: a vast open world or a more focused experience to make it more immersive? 🤔 I could argue that Shadow of the Erdtree seems to show me the good side of a more compact, engaging world that Elden Ring hasn't been before. It really reminds me of the simplicity of FromSoftware’s earlier games. Watching streams and playthroughs of the DLC has really driven home how much I appreciate those tightly-knit, immersive dungeons.👍 So, what do you think? Have you tried Shadow of the Erdtree yet? Do you prefer the vast open world or the dense, dungeon-heavy design? Let me know in the comments! 😎 I still haven't personally played it, but I will!✨ #EldenRing #ShadowOfTheErdTree #FromSoftware #DarkSouls #OpenWorld #Dungeons #DLC

Elden Ring

Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree has raised worries of a new bug within the community. There were apparently no new achievements or trophies in the new expansion or DLC (downloadable content) if you managed to succeed in it's many challenges. Nearly 600 000 players were online at launch and many noticed that there were no achievements in Steam, Xbox and PlayStation. It turns out that it's the studio's trend nowadays to not include any new achievements in their expansions. I remember some people discussing about this in Reddit a while ago and they guessed that the next Elden Ring expansion would surely have them as it's a big addition to the base game. It seems they were wrong. It is pretty interesting choice compared to other companies and their games, but maybe they just do not care for them. I personally don't as I mostly consider them as a burden. I'd sort of like to have them all, but I don't necessarily like to spend a lot of time getting them. 😆 I really like Old School RuneScape's way of implementing achievements by having actual usable and profitable rewards for both the combat achievements and achievement diaries. They are usually not that major upgrades but rather nice-to-have Quality of Life improvements.

There seems to be some performance issues with the new Elden Ring DLC. Players are actually so unhappy that the current Steam ratings have dropped to "Mixed" at 62% positive. However, I have heard that if you are affected by the stutters or other performance issues, you should turn of Nvidia overlay and instant replay. That might help! #performance #shadowoftheerdtree

Elden Ring has roughly trippled the playerbase (from 250k to 750k) following the release of Shadow of the Erdtree DLC. I've also seen a lot of streamers engaging with the game. Some of my personal favorite streamers: - CohhCarnage https://www.twitch.tv/cohhcarnage - MissMikkaa https://www.twitch.tv/missmikkaa - LIRIK https://www.twitch.tv/lirik - ohnePixel https://www.twitch.tv/ohnepixel The game looks fun!

So, it seems like the new Elden Ring DLC "Shadow of the Erdtree" is doing really well! It's sitting at 95 score in Metacritic surpassing Witcher 3 Blood and Wine (at 92) as the best score for a DLC ever and surpassing Final Fantasy 17 as the best game of 2024. Game reviews don't lie. #metacritic #review #ShadowOfTheErdtree https://www.metacritic.com/game/elden-ring-shadow-of-the-erdtree/

Looks like the "Shadow of the Erdtree" DLC is getting pretty good reviews ahead of its release on Friday! Also, as you might know, this year has been historically bad in terms of layoffs for the people working in the games industry. Fortunately, some companies like FromSoftware seem to be convinced that the old quote from an ex-president of Nintendo "people who are afraid of losing their jobs are afraid of making good things" still holds true. Of course, it's easy to say that when the company is doing well financially, but I'm still glad there are companies in the industry where people can feel safe! https://www.pcgamer.com/gaming-industry/fromsoftware-boss-addresses-gaming-industry-layoffs-as-long-as-this-companys-my-responsibility-i-would-not-let-that-happen/

Many people seem to be hyping up the upcoming Elden Ring "Shadow of The Erdtree" DLC that's coming on June 21st. I've never been into soulslike games but lately I've been thinking about potentially giving Elden Ring a try, nevertheless. There seems to be a lot of good things to talk about in addition to just the masochistic combat & boss fights. Especially the environment and lore seem to be often mentioned when I talk about the game with friends. https://en.bandainamcoent.eu/elden-ring/elden-ring/shadow-of-the-erdtree
