Now that the Deep Dip 2 event is finally over I feel like it's time for me to take a little break from watching streams. I'll start with a few weeks of no Twitch for fun. Let's see if I get any withdrawals from that :D Btw there's already 4 finishers in the Deep Dip 2 as of today. Lars was the fourth one to complete the map. Congratz to him! Congratz Bren for winning the Deep Dip 2 competition in Trackmania! It took him 220hours of practice in the official map. The final run took 1 hour and 6 minutes. Crazy performance! Here is the winning clip: https://www.twitch.tv/bren_tm2/clip/AgilePlausibleHabaneroNerfRedBlaster-SG1Y-d7aHU7oPh1_
Looks like the Deep Dip 2 event has reached a difficult spot. The top drivers haven't been able to improve their personal bests in a few days. There are only a few tricks left in the map but some of them look extremely difficult, and of course to even get there one needs to drive the previous floors perfectly with no mistakes. Who will win? Lars? Bren? I guess we will see sooner or later. Follow the leaderboard at: https://deepdip2.com/leaderboard
Deep Dip 2 claims its first big victim as Wirtual, the largest Trackmania streamer, drops out of the race after 1 month of playing almost 10 hours a day. His personal best is at floor 14/16, but he says that is enough for now. He cites that the challenge just isn't fun to him anymore as he has driven the first floors hundreds if not thousands of times already. I have to say I understand! It seems like a mental torture to complete this challenge. But there are crazy players at the competition like Bren, Hazardu and Lars who have not given up! It will be super interesting to see who will be the first one at the top. https://youtu.be/CxCzLV1pyUs?si=DNiAgLNoOSnfC_w8
Today, Bren once again took the Trackmania Deep Dip 2 world record! He is getting very close to the finish line right now. I'll make a prediction: Somebody will finish the map in the next 3 days. https://www.twitch.tv/bren_tm2/clip/SpicyNimbleTaroPastaThat-kQbX9-a1wHbmA7NJ
Trackmania's Deep Dip 2 challenge is getting quite close with Bren now reaching the last floor 16. Super exciting to see who will win! I think it will be Bren but maybe Hazardu has a chance as well. Here is the furthest going attempt and WR by Bren https://www.twitch.tv/bren_tm2/clip/ObservantProudDogSpicyBoy-JvmQg6N257-KIGYP Btw you can also follow the players' progress from this site: https://deepdip2.com/leaderboard
A new WR and attempt to push the WR even further. This time it's Hazardu's show. Well played! https://www.twitch.tv/sbville/clip/NaiveExcitedMilkPrimeMe-kZn0cH-c1-A-bix4
Bren takes the Trackmania Deep Dip 2 world record once again! Floor 15 (out of 16) is now about half done. https://www.twitch.tv/bren_tm2/clip/GorgeousCoweringSnakeAliens-bbGNpQUO-ocyz1oP
Yesterday Hazardu took the lead in the Deep Dip 2 competition by completing roughly half of the floor 15. At this speed it won't take much longer until the first player completes the whole map. Here is his current WR spot and attempt to make the next jump: https://www.twitch.tv/hazardu/clip/GleamingTentativeAlbatrossBabyRage-CxlyitMOX91A90hs
There's been a huge uptick in viewers and players in Trackmania following a group of mappers releasing a new super difficult "tower climb"-style map called Deep Dip 2. The idea is basically same than in Jump King or Only Up. You have to do extremely hard jumps & tricks to go higher in a tower style level, and if you fall you most likely will fall to the bottom. Sometimes you can save it a little bit and only drop a bit if you are lucky, but the map is still super punishing - but probably equally rewarding when you finish. Some players have now cleared 14 floors out of 16 (+1 floor level and ending sequence), but nobody has yet cleared it even though it's been out for about two weeks or something now. It takes more than 30 minutes to climb to floor 14 and if you fail, you start from ground floor! Have fun! https://twitchtracker.com/games/687129551 https://steamdb.info/app/2225070/charts/#3m
Congratz to NAVI for winning IEM Rio 2024! 😎 🎉
