Far Crys just keep getting better and better. I'm about 30% done in FC6 so far and I think this might be the best FC there is, even better than FC3 maybe? Love it 鉂わ笍

Far Cry looks amazing, as always. It's a shame gameplay hasn't changed a bit since Far Cry 5. Or Far Cry 4 馃槈
Far Cry 6 DLC puts you into the shoes of the biggest villains from the series
The Far Cry 6 DLC included in its Season Pass won't involve the game's new villain, played by Giancarlo Esposito, but will instead star three villains from Far Crys past: Vaas Montenegro (Far Cry 3), Pagan Min (Far Cry 4), and Joseph Seed (Far Cry 5). The original actors have returned to play them, except this time their voices will be your voice. We'll "delve into these iconic villain's twisted minds, uncover their backstories, battle their inner demons, and reunite with familiar faces," says Ubisoft. Without really explaining it, the company calls this Far Cry 6 add-on a "new Far Cry gameplay experience in which you will have to die… and retry." Sounds like they might be short episodes that are meant to be replayed several times? The Far Cry 6 Season Pass will also include Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon, possibly to help promote the Netflix show based on the well-liked '80s themed DLC.The Season Pass will be available in the Far Cry 6 Gold, Ultimate and Collector's Editions—so, not the Standard Edition. Presumably, the DLC will be available to purchase separately, too. The official site breaks down what's in all of them.As for Far Cry 6 itself, Esposito said the other day that his character isn't truly a villain, but of course he was being facetious: Far Cry games always include a Bond-style villain with a cult following.
www.pcgamer.comThe team behind Olden Era has revealed a new Arena mode, designed to bring fast, dynamic battles to the forefront of gameplay. Responding to community feedback, this mode skips traditional elements like castle building, resource gathering, and map exploration. Instead, players jump straight into the action, drafting their heroes, troops, artifacts, and spells in a quick five-minute setup before diving into a decisive battle. Inspired by the Hot Seat Duel Mode from HoMM 5, Olden Era鈥檚 Arena takes the concept further with full customization and balance improvements. Players can draft from a selection of heroes, level up skills, and pick artifacts, all while ensuring fairness through carefully balanced systems. Whether battling AI or other players, the mode is designed to provide exciting, bite-sized gameplay sessions that are perfect for newcomers and veterans alike. Arena also introduces competitive features, including a separate rating system and matchmaking, adding a fresh challenge for seasoned players. It鈥檚 a fast, accessible way to enjoy the game, whether you鈥檙e short on time or want to sharpen your skills in quick, intense battles. More details on Arena鈥檚 competitive ladder system will be shared in an upcoming devlog.
That feeling you have when you just finished an amazing game. With StarCraft II that feeling I have once in a while when I replay all the campaigns. Too bad the story is over and in a way I'm glad there are no spin offs or some other crap like World of StarCraft. There is not much space for story rich games in the modern gamedev. There is also less and less demand for competitive real-time strategy games, all that market was consumed with MOBAs. Not many players out there want to spend hundreds of hours just to even stand a chance against other players. Having such good in size and quality single-player part is too expensive nowadays. Those shy attempts to revive an RTS market don't even try to include campaign or a story because creating balanced PvP game is already challenge on its own. I will revisit StarCraft story in the future, hoping there won't be any Reforged failures that will take the original game from me.
