Valve has released a major update for Counter-Strike 2, introducing weapon charms and new skins as part of the "Arsenal" operation. They added over 100 new cosmetic items, including stickers and a new case. Players can also acquire charms through the Arsenal Pass, which costs around $15, and attach them to weapons. Additionally, gameplay animations were improved, and bugs were fixed. On the downside, some users have reported performance issues following the update, with frame rates dropping by around 14%.
Congratz to NAVI for winning IEM Rio 2024! 😎 🎉
🎮 Counter-Strike 2 Update: Game-Changing Crates on Dust 2! 🧱 Attention, CS veterans and rookies alike! The latest update to Counter-Strike 2 has introduced some new crates just outside the CT spawn on Dust 2, and they could be a game-changer! 🚀 These crates, placed strategically near bombsite A, allow Counter-Terrorists to hop up to the catwalk without needing a boost from a teammate. This tweak could significantly shift the balance on this historically Terrorist-sided map. 🗺️ Why does this matter? Well, for starters, it means CTs can rotate and defend more effectively, potentially shaking up the meta. No more getting stuck in spawn behind a wall of smoke—these crates offer new opportunities for quick plays and creative strategies. 💡 Whether you're a seasoned player or just dabbling in CS2, keep an eye on how the pros adapt to this change. It could lead to some exciting new tactics and highlights in the coming matches! 🔥 #CS2 #Dust2 #GamingUpdate #FPSGaming #Esports (Image credit: Rock Paper Shotgun/Valve)
Counter-Strike 2 Update: Beloved Maps Return, Mixed Reactions from Fans Counter-Strike 2 players, rejoice! The latest update brings five new maps: Thera (formerly Santorini), Mills, Memento, Assembly, and the classic Pool Day. Thera and Mills are available in Competitive, Casual, and Deathmatch modes. Memento and Assembly can be played in Wingman, while Pool Day is featured in Arms Race. These community-created maps breathe new life into CS2, with each offering unique gameplay experiences. However, not all fans are thrilled. Despite the excitement around the new maps, many players were hoping for a new operation to mark Counter-Strike's 25th anniversary. Operations traditionally come with new maps, weapon cases, and missions, and the last one, Riptide, ended over two years ago. Fans expressed their disappointment on social media, longing for more substantial content and better communication from Valve. What are your thoughts on the new maps? Are you enjoying the updates, or are you also waiting for a new operation? Let us know in the comments! #CounterStrike2 #CS2 #CounterStrike #Update #Valve #PoolDay #25Anniversary
People are impatiently waiting for the new operation in CS2.🙏 It’s been 1000 days since the previous operation: Operation Riptide.🤯 Some people do not count is as an actual operation because of the lack of content and claim that Operation Hydra was the last actual operation.🧐 In Reddit they are speculating whether a new operation is going to be released on the 25th anniversary of Counter-Strike or not.🤔 Some people do not seem to care as the game is still troubled by rampant cheaters that are apparently everywhere in higher competitive ratings. 😔

🎮✨ CS2 Skin Renting is Here! ✨🎮 Valve just dropped a game-changer on May 23rd, 2024! You can now rent CS2 skins for 7 days directly in the game. Here’s what you need to know: 👾 How to Rent CS2 Skins: 1. Grab a Kilowatt case (the only rentable one for now) and a case key. 2. Open CS2, head to your inventory, select the case, and hit ‘unlock container.’ 3. Choose the "Open to Rent" option. Confirm it and you're all set! 🚪 What Happens: - Your case and key get used up. - You’ll have all the skins from the case (except the knife) for 7 days. - After 7 days, skins vanish. Want them back? Time to buy a new case and key! 📦 Which Skins Can You Rent?: - Right now, only skins from the Kilowatt case: such as AK Inheritance and AWP Chrome Cannon. - No knives or gloves, though! 🛠️ Future of Skin Rentals? Will Valve add more cases or collections to the rental pool? - Who knows! But I'm excited to see where this goes. ❓ FAQ: - Skin Condition: Randomly assigned. - Stickers/Renames: Not an option, sorry! - Number of Cases: One at a time. - Knives/Gloves: Nope, still got to unbox those. - Cost: Depends on current prices of cases and keys. What do you think? Rent or purchase as your own? 💼🔫 For me it's clear. As an old-school skin investor, I'll stick to buying. 😎 #CS2 #SkinRenting #GameUpdate #Valve #KilowattCase
Played some CS2 today for the first time in two weeks. Really nice that are now finally implementing some small QoL improvements to the game, which should've been added to CS:GO 5 years ago. Such an example is the different bomb timer sound when it's less than 10 seconds to detonation. 💥 Also played with my two new agent skins for the first time: Cmdr. Frank 'Wet Sox' Baroud for counter-terrorist side and Number K (the condom guy) for terrorist side.

The team behind Olden Era has revealed a new Arena mode, designed to bring fast, dynamic battles to the forefront of gameplay. Responding to community feedback, this mode skips traditional elements like castle building, resource gathering, and map exploration. Instead, players jump straight into the action, drafting their heroes, troops, artifacts, and spells in a quick five-minute setup before diving into a decisive battle. Inspired by the Hot Seat Duel Mode from HoMM 5, Olden Era’s Arena takes the concept further with full customization and balance improvements. Players can draft from a selection of heroes, level up skills, and pick artifacts, all while ensuring fairness through carefully balanced systems. Whether battling AI or other players, the mode is designed to provide exciting, bite-sized gameplay sessions that are perfect for newcomers and veterans alike. Arena also introduces competitive features, including a separate rating system and matchmaking, adding a fresh challenge for seasoned players. It’s a fast, accessible way to enjoy the game, whether you’re short on time or want to sharpen your skills in quick, intense battles. More details on Arena’s competitive ladder system will be shared in an upcoming devlog.
