Brawl Stars

New Brawl Stars update dropped and in addition to new brawlers and tons of cosmetics, it changes a lot about Clubs. First of all, all old Club related events - Club Quests and Club League - are gone. They got replaced with new Mega Pig event. The more club members play, the higher the rewards. Every win fills piggybank with Coins, Power Points, Bling and Starr Drops. When event ends, rewards from the Pig are being distributed amount Club members. Let's see if that brings value into being in a Club without pain of keeping to a tight and complicated schedule of good old Club League. And a cherry on top - Power Point cap is removed. You are welcome, high-level players.

Brawl Stars

Spongebob is coming to Brawl Stars! In addition to new set of skins from Spongebob animated series, it offers new game modes and special item mechanic. During the Spongebob event players will be able to unlock 5 types of special items, one per each brawler class. Each item has 3 power levels. To acquire and upgrade the items, players will need to buy event box in a special event shop using event currency - Krusty Kash. Currency can be earned by playing matches. The first new game mode is a new variation of Showdown with 4 teams 3 players each. This is the first game mode that has more than 10 players in total in a single match, it's called Trio Showdown. Works pretty much like Duo Showdown, but with more players. Another new game mode is called Jellyfish Catch where players need to collect most jellyfish to win. New Brawl Stars update also offers 2 new brawlers. First brawler is a mole named Moe who is the smallest of all the brawlers. The other brawler is a legendary samurai who is also a sushi chef named Kenji. As usual, 6 more brawlers are getting their hypercharge abilities: Poco, Mortis, Squeak, Tara, Nani and Surge.

Brawl Stars

New Brawl Stars update has been announced, will go live already next week. Main event is Classic Brawl - play classic brawlers with just one Star power and revised versions of classic skins. And the special appearance is Mega Boxes. Yep, the ones devs were told are gone from the game forever, now they are back for short period of time as part of the event. Not sure if game is old enough to create a nostalgia hype by bringing some old stuff, especially considering average age of its players, but curious nonetheless. In addition to usual 2 new brawlers, bunch of Hypercharges and whole load of new skins, it also features a Splatoon-like game mode where 2 teams try to paint battlefield with different colors and the team who covered the most area by the end of the match wins.

Brawl Stars

Next Brawl Stars update brings a lot of major changes! Biggest change of all - Brawl Pass will cost real money instead of gems. There will be no more ways for free-to-play players to get access to premium reward track. And it will last one month instead of two. On the bright side, a lot of rewards both in Brawl Pass and from other sources will be replaced with Starr Drops, which will increase the average value of rewards. Gacha has returned as the main means of getting rewards, yay! Starting next update Chromatic brawler rarity will be gone along with Chromacredits. These brawlers will become available for Credits or Gems, just like any other brawlers. Chromatic brawlers were the brawlers that could be acquired either from Brawl Pass or using very rare currency Chromacredits. So long!

Heroes of Might & Magic: Olden Era

The team behind Olden Era has revealed a new Arena mode, designed to bring fast, dynamic battles to the forefront of gameplay. Responding to community feedback, this mode skips traditional elements like castle building, resource gathering, and map exploration. Instead, players jump straight into the action, drafting their heroes, troops, artifacts, and spells in a quick five-minute setup before diving into a decisive battle. Inspired by the Hot Seat Duel Mode from HoMM 5, Olden Era’s Arena takes the concept further with full customization and balance improvements. Players can draft from a selection of heroes, level up skills, and pick artifacts, all while ensuring fairness through carefully balanced systems. Whether battling AI or other players, the mode is designed to provide exciting, bite-sized gameplay sessions that are perfect for newcomers and veterans alike. Arena also introduces competitive features, including a separate rating system and matchmaking, adding a fresh challenge for seasoned players. It’s a fast, accessible way to enjoy the game, whether you’re short on time or want to sharpen your skills in quick, intense battles. More details on Arena’s competitive ladder system will be shared in an upcoming devlog.

StarCraft II

That feeling you have when you just finished an amazing game. With StarCraft II that feeling I have once in a while when I replay all the campaigns. Too bad the story is over and in a way I'm glad there are no spin offs or some other crap like World of StarCraft. There is not much space for story rich games in the modern gamedev. There is also less and less demand for competitive real-time strategy games, all that market was consumed with MOBAs. Not many players out there want to spend hundreds of hours just to even stand a chance against other players. Having such good in size and quality single-player part is too expensive nowadays. Those shy attempts to revive an RTS market don't even try to include campaign or a story because creating balanced PvP game is already challenge on its own. I will revisit StarCraft story in the future, hoping there won't be any Reforged failures that will take the original game from me.
