Next Brawl Stars update brings a lot of major changes! Biggest change of all - Brawl Pass will cost real money instead of gems. There will be no more ways for free-to-play players to get access to premium reward track. And it will last one month instead of two. On the bright side, a lot of rewards both in Brawl Pass and from other sources will be replaced with Starr Drops, which will increase the average value of rewards. Gacha has returned as the main means of getting rewards, yay! Starting next update Chromatic brawler rarity will be gone along with Chromacredits. These brawlers will become available for Credits or Gems, just like any other brawlers. Chromatic brawlers were the brawlers that could be acquired either from Brawl Pass or using very rare currency Chromacredits. So long!
Spongebob is coming to Brawl Stars! In addition to new set of skins from Spongebob animated series, it offers new game modes and special item mechanic. During the Spongebob event players will be able to unlock 5 types of special items, one per each brawler class. Each item has 3 power levels. To acquire and upgrade the items, players will need to buy event box in a special event shop using event currency - Krusty Kash. Currency can be earned by playing matches. The first new game mode is a new variation of Showdown with 4 teams 3 players each. This is the first game mode that has more than 10 players in total in a single match, it's called Trio Showdown. Works pretty much like Duo Showdown, but with more players. Another new game mode is called Jellyfish Catch where players need to collect most jellyfish to win. New Brawl Stars update also offers 2 new brawlers. First brawler is a mole named Moe who is the smallest of all the brawlers. The other brawler is a legendary samurai who is also a sushi chef named Kenji. As usual, 6 more brawlers are getting their hypercharge abilities: Poco, Mortis, Squeak, Tara, Nani and Surge.
New Brawl Stars update has been announced, will go live already next week. Main event is Classic Brawl - play classic brawlers with just one Star power and revised versions of classic skins. And the special appearance is Mega Boxes. Yep, the ones devs were told are gone from the game forever, now they are back for short period of time as part of the event. Not sure if game is old enough to create a nostalgia hype by bringing some old stuff, especially considering average age of its players, but curious nonetheless. In addition to usual 2 new brawlers, bunch of Hypercharges and whole load of new skins, it also features a Splatoon-like game mode where 2 teams try to paint battlefield with different colors and the team who covered the most area by the end of the match wins.
New Brawl Stars update dropped and in addition to new brawlers and tons of cosmetics, it changes a lot about Clubs. First of all, all old Club related events - Club Quests and Club League - are gone. They got replaced with new Mega Pig event. The more club members play, the higher the rewards. Every win fills piggybank with Coins, Power Points, Bling and Starr Drops. When event ends, rewards from the Pig are being distributed amount Club members. Let's see if that brings value into being in a Club without pain of keeping to a tight and complicated schedule of good old Club League. And a cherry on top - Power Point cap is removed. You are welcome, high-level players.

They should be more in line for brawlers that can utilize both, so this is one step towards that. Sandy - Exhausting storm - Increased damage reduction effect 10 → 20% Now, even sandier! Shield - Increased health 600 → 900 Shield is the only element that will not be affected by the % revamp. Making it % based would flip it from being great on squishy brawlers to great on tanky brawlers instead - which is not something we want. Leon - Lingering smoke - Increased duration 1 → 2s One second is all it takes - getting a takedown for me, possibilities... Doug Increased Super range 20 → 28 Increased Super width 50 → 200 Now, why would anyone want to miss out on the tastiest of hotdogs? This should allow Doug to properly use his super on teammates when he's full himself! Nerfs Gears Speed - Decreased movement speed 20 → 15% Welcome to the jungle - but slower. Crow Gadget - Slowing toxin - Decreased duration 3 → 2s Gadget gear gave Crow a bit too much control, so tuning some of it down Chuck Chuck doesn't have his Super Charged after respawning (so it prevents him from using his Super while still invincible). The train will be slightly delayed Shelly Decreased Super charge from Super 112 → 60 ANOTHA ONE - she's been too good simply at chaining supers off of supers. Gus Gadget - Kooky Popper - Removed knockback effect With the combo of knocking back enemies + using the main attack, it allowed Gus, a support Brawler, to become a friggin' assassin. Pearl Gadget - Overcooked - Decreased extra damage 60 → 40% Who let Pearl cook to this extent? It couldn't be me Squeak Gadget - Residue duration - Decreased duration 8 → 6s Same as Crow's Fang Main attack - Reduced damage 1400 → 1360 Fang has been really strong lately, thanks to his Super charge buff + damage. While we want to keep him high risk-high reward, reducing his burst allows more brawlers to fight him even when he does come up to you Buster Main attack - Reduced damage 1440 → 1400 Buster, much like Fang, also saw a resurgence due to his stats being increased. This, along with the gadget gear for slo-mo replay, has made him a tad too strong - but the first step is to tune his overall stats down a little. Maps, Game Modes & Rotation Changes General Based on the community vote, we've removed Siege from rotation and brought back Duels, which will rotate in the Community Slot together with Wipeout. Fill the MEGA PIG to smash it open at the end of the event and get loads of rewards! At the start of each monthly event, all Club Members receive 18 Tickets that they can use to play matches Every win will fill up the MEGA PIG with Coins, Power Points, Bling, and Starr Drops that will be distributed to all Club members at the end of the event Reaching each MEGA PIG milestone increases the amount of rewards you receive The more you fill the MEGA PIG, the more rewards you get! So, being in a full and active Club highly increases your chances of completely filling the MEGA PIG Rewards! The rewards are always divided by how many members you have in your Club There's a cap on the maximum rewards you can get if you manage to fill the MEGA PIG with fewer members This allows smaller clubs to also get the benefit of the event, but it prevents the system from being exploited if you have fewer members To be eligible for the rewards, you need to win at least one game MEGA PIG Games Together with the MEGA PIG event we’re introducing a new format featuring random game modes, maps and (new) modifiers! The new modifiers are: Super Bushy The match starts with normal bushes, then the bushes start spreading in random directions every second Instant Overtime All objects disappear from the map (including unbreakable walls) Unlimited Power On death, Brawlers spawn a Power Cube that any Brawler can pick up Classic Just a good old match without any modifiers Games during the MEGA PIG event feature a simplified Ranked format: No ban phase No preparation phase Synchronous pick-phase for both teams (blind) Duplicates in the enemy team allowed Our goal for this change was to improve the time it takes to get to matches while still allowing you to pick the best composition for the map, mode, and modifier. Bye Club League Calendars Event! After the update releases, there will be a 25-day login calendar to welcome the MEGA PIG into the game and to compensate somewhat for the reduced total rewards, counting down the days until the 1st MEGA PIG event starts! The team behind Olden Era has revealed a new Arena mode, designed to bring fast, dynamic battles to the forefront of gameplay. Responding to community feedback, this mode skips traditional elements like castle building, resource gathering, and map exploration. Instead, players jump straight into the action, drafting their heroes, troops, artifacts, and spells in a quick five-minute setup before diving into a decisive battle. Inspired by the Hot Seat Duel Mode from HoMM 5, Olden Era’s Arena takes the concept further with full customization and balance improvements. Players can draft from a selection of heroes, level up skills, and pick artifacts, all while ensuring fairness through carefully balanced systems. Whether battling AI or other players, the mode is designed to provide exciting, bite-sized gameplay sessions that are perfect for newcomers and veterans alike. Arena also introduces competitive features, including a separate rating system and matchmaking, adding a fresh challenge for seasoned players. It’s a fast, accessible way to enjoy the game, whether you’re short on time or want to sharpen your skills in quick, intense battles. More details on Arena’s competitive ladder system will be shared in an upcoming devlog.
That feeling you have when you just finished an amazing game. With StarCraft II that feeling I have once in a while when I replay all the campaigns. Too bad the story is over and in a way I'm glad there are no spin offs or some other crap like World of StarCraft. There is not much space for story rich games in the modern gamedev. There is also less and less demand for competitive real-time strategy games, all that market was consumed with MOBAs. Not many players out there want to spend hundreds of hours just to even stand a chance against other players. Having such good in size and quality single-player part is too expensive nowadays. Those shy attempts to revive an RTS market don't even try to include campaign or a story because creating balanced PvP game is already challenge on its own. I will revisit StarCraft story in the future, hoping there won't be any Reforged failures that will take the original game from me.
Valve has released a major update for Counter-Strike 2, introducing weapon charms and new skins as part of the "Arsenal" operation. They added over 100 new cosmetic items, including stickers and a new case. Players can also acquire charms through the Arsenal Pass, which costs around $15, and attach them to weapons. Additionally, gameplay animations were improved, and bugs were fixed. On the downside, some users have reported performance issues following the update, with frame rates dropping by around 14%.
